Upper Lake Camping Area 1

 

ALL CAMPERS
• Each individual Wilderness Campground site is marked with rocks and other indicators setting forth the border. The sites are generally 40 feet by 50 feet in size, with some variations between sites. 20 sites are currently offered for hookups with water, electricity and sewer. Additional sites offer electricity and water, only water, or are totally rustic. All sites are numbered. Each site has a fire pit and picnic table. You are responsible for maintaining the fire pit and picnic table in the condition it was in upon occupancy and maintaining electric connections, water lines, and septic receptacles from physical damage nad vandelisum.

• Each site is provided with a garbage receptacle. All garbage is to be placed in garbage cans on your site or other locations around the Campgrounds or removed. Garbage is not to be left lying on the ground. Please help us to keep our cost low and out sienic buty high by picking up any garbage you might see thanks you!

• Placement of one unit for overnight stays is permitted upon each lot. No additional trailer, camper, or tent for this purpose is permitted.

• In addition to the Camping Unit, a Camper may park one vehicle within the lot being leased by Lessee, or alternatively adjacent thereto at a location identified by Wilderness Campgrounds staff as "parking". Additional vehicles will be accommodated, if possible, but may have to be parked at a separate location within walking distance. All vehicles must be locked and secured

Upper Lake Camping Area 2

 

 

• All-terrain vehicles and similar vehicles ("ATVs") may be driven adjacent to camping sites within Wilderness Campgrounds only at nominal speed no greater than 10 mph, and only to leave and/or to return to a Camper's camping site or to a designated parking area. Designated trails, within the Wilderness Campgrounds property, may be utilized for ATV operation, in accordance with manufacturer's operating instructions for such vehicle as may be utilized. ATV s are prohibited from operation on public roads and public right of ways' unless such usage is specifically permitted and posted by public authority.

• It is the responsibility of each Camping Unit owner to have current Minnesota license tabs affixed to each Unit.
• All RV units must be capable of transport on public roads.

• Undocked boats and boat trailers shall be parked at locations designated by Wilderness Campground management or staff.

• Quiet hours are 11 p.m. to 8 a.m. on weekdays and midnight to 8 a.m. on weekends and holidays. Please be considerate of those around you. Wilderness Campgrounds reserves the right to exclude those whose behavior is disruptive to guests or property and will be asked to leave the campgrounds by staff.

• Fires are allowed in designated fire rings only.

• The speed limit within Wilderness Campgrounds property is 10 miles per hour. Please watch for children. Only licensed, motorized vehicles are allowed and must be driven by a licensed driver.

• All docked watercraft must be current with registration and licenses.

• Pets, appropriate to a household, may be maintained within camping units, or contained areas, or alternatively may be secured, tied or on a leash or under the direct control of a responsible individual in the presence of a pet.

• Wilderness Campgrounds is not responsible for accidents or injuries to guests or for lost or stolen property of any kind arising from actions by third parties.

• Campers are informed that there is no parking permitted along Long Lake Road.

• The public access boat launch area is to be kept free from obstruction by vehicles and/or watercraft.
parked within designated parking spaces.

Lower Main Office & River Camping Area 3

 

• No parking is permitted within the long lake beach area.

• There is a limit of one hour usage as to tennis, volleyball, and basketball courts, if others are waiting for usage.

• The facilities in the bathhouse and in the shower areas are to be kept neat and clean. Waste receptacles are located in each restroom.

SEASONAL CAMPERS

• One deck, shed, gazebo, or tent, or other outdoor amenity, may be maintained per seasonal site, which unless otherwise authorized, shall be limited to an area of up to nine (9) feet by twelve (12) feet. A seasonal camper must assure that such amenity is consistent with applicable building and other codes and authorities, and is responsible to obtain, if applicable, building permits.

• Seasonal campers shall provide Wilderness Campgrounds with the license number associated with Camper's camping unit and registration, along with a description and license identification of vehicles to be parked on the lot being leased, as well as watercraft of Camper to be located at Wilderness Campgrounds. Camper shall also provide information concerning insurance coverage and persons to contact in an emergency.

• Seasonal campers may place a dock on the shore of Long Lake with permission of Wilderness Campgrounds. Such dock must be in compliance with applicable State, County, and Township codes and with Minnesota Department of Natural Resources Regulations. Camper is responsible for obtaining any necessary permits.
